As a young girl, Charlese has always been inspired by music. Growing up watching her idols such as; Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Britney Spears, she knew this was the career path for her. However, it wasn't until 2010 after finding, the fascinating music genre of, K-pop where she started actually pursuing a music career. For the next 9 years, the South Carolina native would consistently audition for Korean entertainment companies hoping to get signed. After graduating university with a BA in Theater, she eventually moved to South Korea as an English teacher and became an independent K-pop trainee and continued to pursue her dream of becoming a K-pop idol. After 2 years living in South Korea, Charlese moved back home to make her debut in music as an independent solo artist.
